Description

Blending raw material made from local Amakusa porcelain stone and natural mountain soil, these cups reflect the uniqueness of the Hasami region. Having been fired at high temperature, they are as beautiful as they are durable and resistant to stains.

Each piece is unique and that variance means you can see the individual attention each is given in the manufacturing process. The size and shape can vary a bit in each item. Appearance of color glaze unevenness differs in each item. Some products may take on a scorched-like texture on the surface. It is a unique glaze effect called "yo-hen", unintended color transformation show on the ceramic and porcelain after firing.
