Description
Our Den Blanket is 100% baby alpaca. Contrary to it's name "baby alpaca" is not from baby alpacas. It comes from a layer of wool hidden beneath the "outer" wool on adult alpacas. It naturally regulates temperature, keeping you not too hot or cold. In addition to being super soft, and not at all scratchy, t's also antibacterial and hypoallergenic.
The Den Blanket is handmade on handlooms with ethically sourced yarn from small farms in Nepal. We partnered with a small family producer who, for two generations, has been training artisans in knitwear production in Kathmandu, Nepal. The artisans are paid 30% above market salaries, are offered housing when necessary and are helped with their children’s education costs. This small team is dedicated to providing career growth and support of the community.
