Hasami Porcelain is made from a proprietary blend of clay and crushed stone from the historical village of Hasami in the Nagasaki prefecture of Japan, using methods of porcelain manufacturing dating back over 400 years.
Slight variation in color and texture is not considered a flaw nor defective by Hasami master craftsmen. Each and every piece is one-of-a-kind and is what gives Hasami Porcelain its own individuality.
