Outings 001 / El Matador Beach, Malibu CA

Get on the road early, before the marine layer has burned off and head north on the PCH. Climb the hill following Zuma, and you’ll come to El Matador, the first beach with a small bluff parking lot. Follow the trail down, first south and then back around north. The first view up the coast will bring a brief moment of discovery that feels like maybe it’s being seen for the first time. Enjoy that moment.
